Team "Southern Comfort" Rides Again
Looking forward to spending Saturday with my friend Terry aboard the mighty "Kentucky Hog Hunter" chasing gators and swapping stories
He has offered a seat for my wife as well so if you see three hicks with bent rods and big smiles stop by and say "Hi", just don't stay to long  JK
Two more weeks till the derby

Re: Team "Southern Comfort" Rides Again
Chris,
Are you staying local this weekend? We went expoloring last weekend, and didn't do too well. Picked up a dozen shakers or so. We are doing the same tomorrow, probably upriver, I have not been up there in a while. I know most of the fish are down, but I think I can find a couple of residents!
Good luck.
Scott

Madeline- You and Jerry could set up camp and not over stay your welcome We will start out in the Willy and work our way down to my area out in the Columbia. I'm looking forward to seing that new ride you guys have, just think.... three more months till it's ESTUARY time
Scott- We will probably stay local. Good luck if your heading upriver, every person and guide that I have talked to this week has told me it is dead. Did you fish our area by the green can and if so, was it pretty slow

Re: Team "Southern Comfort" Rides Again
i'll be in the lower river too, can't miss my ifish sticker. It's a bigger custom one with white copy and logo see you boys out there. I'm taking a sort of cooltexan with me, and another guy who needs to join Ifish, so if you stop over to say hi, don't scare in.
Good luck!

Rick- you've been picked  You aint going to weasle out of an estaury trip this year my friend. You could probably even pick one up on one of your spinner doo dads Come about the third week of May you better pack a lunch and I'll pick you up on the way. Between my Weldcraft and Madeline's new North River, those prehistoric carp don't stand a chance

Re: Team "Southern Comfort" Rides Again
Chris,
I didn't try in the big C last weekend. We put in at Brown's and messed around down that way. Your words about upriver are not very encouraging! We may change plans. We have been hearing the same, but thought we'd give it a go anyway. I know there won't be very many boats up that way. Portland area will probably be pretty crowded with the nice weather.
We may see you out there.
Good luck,
Scott

Re: Team "Southern Comfort" Rides Again
Fished hard on Tuesday, couldn't buy a fish in the Columbia so moved into the lower Willamette. Fish seemed to be moving through pretty good, mostly in the 32-38 inch range, but missed a couple that I suspect were bigger.
The temperature difference didn't seem to be too much, however the Willamette was the place to be.
Stay low...
