Default Safety - please read!

For my salty friends who don't get to the main forum much - http://www.ifish.net/ubb/ultimatebb....c;f=1;t=027219

Don't forget to turn on the blower! Holy crimeny! Hopefully no one got hurt in this one, but my brother was on-scene when another one happened a few years back on Lake Powell. It didn't have such a happy ending, even though he's a firefighter and had paramedics with him right when it happened.

Being the daughter of a firefighter and having many relative who are also in the profession, I can tell you all kinds of horror stories. Pilar calls me the "fire marshall" because I'm so paranoid about an 'accidental' fire.

I know guy whose aluminum jet boat exploded and caught fire. Failed to turn on the bilge blower. It blew up when he went to start it. Burned and melted the aluminum to the water line. It was pulled up to the bank at the time. Blew one guy out the back, over the transom. Blew another over the side and broke his arm. One other suffered burns. Every one recovered. Every one is a little wiser......sal

I've seen this once and seen the results two more times. Gas and water don't mix.
