Newport Roll Call, August 1 & 2 Float Plan
Sea Lion will likely show up in the afternoon Thursday July 31st. I'll be lookin for bait and maybe a little shake down to make certain things are good for a Friday morning start.
I hope to see you there.
I will likely be on C dock and plan to stay on the boat.
Plan A is to depart Friday morning at 5:30 a.m. possibly dropping crab pots on our way to glory. We should return to port by 9:00 p.m. or by no later than dark. Threemuch and Drifty are the Crew for Friday.
Saturday the 2nd same plan. If weather and temps are favorable we will try for Tuna after we bag a few flatties. If the temp isn't there we will troll for Salmon then mooch up some bottom fish. Drifty and Hoggemin are crew Saturday.
Sunday the plan is to depart Depoe Bay for Tuna.
I just love it when a plan comes together.... Drifty and hopefully Pilar will join me on Sea Lion.
I will be monitoring 16.
See you there

Re: Newport Roll Call, August 1 & 2 Float Plan
Carborator permitting - Sea Jypzee will be leaving Depoe Bay on friday for the Halibut grounds. Likely first stop will be the Rock Pile, then head out to the Ranch to finish off the "L" on the boat as needed. IF we get done early, may toss out the tuna gear and troll northbound on the outside, headed for home port.
Saturday, I will be taking Woody and family out to the TUNA grounds out of Depoe Bay at first light. Hoping to get them some Albacore for all the hard work they've put into getting the Sea Jypzee back up and running well.
Sunday, again will be taking a crew from work out to the TUNA grounds from Depoe Bay.
All 3 days, will be monitoring VHF 78 if anyone wants to give us a shout.

Ray, I'm more likely to chase you in my boat than to be in yours on Sunday.

Ray,
What boat is yours on C-Dock? I'm on C-dock as well (C-69). My plan is for the Pile this weekend, that ocean could blow up pretty fast if the forecast is accurate --

Re: Newport Roll Call, August 1 & 2 Float Plan
Seasquid, I agree with the forcast forecast... I won't have a slip assigned until I check in about 3.5 hours from now. Sea Lion is a green on white C-Dory Angler 22'.
See you there.
John, we'll see what developes. The important thing is that I at least get to see you on the water  .

Re: Newport Roll Call, August 1 & 2 Float Plan
What are the chances of any of you guys getting a few extra herring for Edsr, BOE and myself?
We won't be down until late Friday evening, like about 9 or so and will be heading out in the am on Ed's Dory.
