Default Spark Plug Salmon run 7/31- Anyone else going

I am picking up my bro at the airport tonight. He lives in Florida and has never been after salmon before in his life. After looking at the predicted conditions, tomorrow looks pretty good to hit the spark plug and do some silver slappin.

The plan is to be at the bar around 9:00 am to take a look see. With predictions of 3 and 4 the ocean shouldn't be that bad when the bar calms down enough to hop it. Anyone else planning on being in the area or have a recent report?

Hey dude,
I'm heading to Newport for some preemptive bait catching and I might sneak out for some Salmon slappin'

Are you still interested in that 6/0 reel?
I still need Salmon stuff for the boat and my son....

Let me know and you are more than welcome to join me in Newport

Kim- 503-550-3330. I can meet you guys at Newport on Friday or meet you guys at St. Helens on Tuesday. Whatever works for you. Good luck on Friday, I know the Black Rocket won't find any problems hitting a limit of Butts and then spanking some Tuna.

I am going to try and do either tuna or salmon tomorrow. I think I will be going from Depoe Bay though. I will be on the horn and chatting, if I can find anyone else out there!

Ray- We need to hook up and do the tackle swap. I have tons of salmon stuff I think you might be interested in. I think I will hit the CR bar in the morning and head to the plug. Newport has been really good to me lately but you have to run out a good ways to get into 51 degree water temp. Last Saturday I had to run west about 13 miles to get into a limit of ho's.
