MMC Cards for Lowrance/Eagle??
I posted this on the main board also, but how do you download the charts to the MMC cards. It seems we can only find the information to get the mapping programs on the computer, but how do you get the last step and then bring it up on the unit?? Both Lepper and I have the 320 DF finder/gps units and have the MMC card and writer, but can't seem to figure out the last part. Anyone have experience with this??
Thanks in advance.

Re: MMC Cards for Lowrance/Eagle??
After you draw your border and build the map, transfer it to your MMC. I haven't been able to copy a map from a saved copy. does that help? Tell me exactly where you are having the problem.

Re: MMC Cards for Lowrance/Eagle??
Basically we're stuck on getting the map to the MMC card. How to outline the area you want, copy it, and then send it to the card from the program. I have Nobletec on cdrom and it's a great program, but I can't find a single source to say how to copy and paste a section of my map. Nobletec says it will be compatible even though Lowrance doesn't list it as a program they encourage. So that's where I am. Confused!

Re: MMC Cards for Lowrance/Eagle??
TC,
Sorry I can't help you.
Not to get off your subject, why did you chose Nobletech vs. Navionics?? I want to upgrade my X-15 to a chart program and am trying to decide which one. From the sounds of it I think I want to order the programed MMC cards instead.
Keep us posted on your progress or pvt. mail me.
Good luck!!
Thanks, Kurt

Re: MMC Cards for Lowrance/Eagle??
I've used Nobletec in the past and like the program a lot. Very user friendly. I can plug and chug waypoints into my gps, but thought why not program the whole chart in there since it's an option to get a lot more detail with the unit. Basically I'm trying to find a way before I break down and buy a different one or a MMC card with it on it already. They say you can do it but are not being very helpful on explaining it without a lot of research.

Re: MMC Cards for Lowrance/Eagle??
KGS, is there another option? I thought as far as offshore charting was concerned, you had to buy the preprogramed charts. I have the 6.0 map software but it is all inland based.

Re: MMC Cards for Lowrance/Eagle??
Fishplay,
This is the first I have heard of using chart software and making ones own charts also.
It sounds like the pre-programmed cards are easier, but not on the wallet
Waiting to hear the outcome of TC's downloading.
Someday
