Sunday Tuna anyone?
Day after Hal-b-Core carking I am inclined to try Tuna Tuna Tuna.
Anybody up for it? Weather dependant of course.
Pilar and Ocean Blue, what do you say?
Skien and Dipsy Diver, week 2?
It's time to quit wishin' and go fishin'

Yo! Pilar, Skein, Ocean Blue, Dipsy Diver....
Are ya gonna make me do this by myself?
I have one crewman on board already. I have the day off. If the weather looks good I'm committed!
Come here Charlie, I'll make you a STAR!

Ray,
I sure would like to go but I have a list of chores that I promised I would do. I sure wantto. I haven't ever caught one of them and I really have a craving to get out there and just do it. Maybe later this summer. Have a graet trip and may the fish Gods smile on you all year! Tight Lines, Tom

Well alrighty then... Fine....
If a ship of D'oh boys can do it we can do it too.
Just need to find some coolers... and, and some hand lines.... and that's all I need
...and... a shoe horn to get Sea Lion through the rocks at Depoe Bay and... and... Oh yea, Depoe Bay.....

Re: Sunday Tuna anyone?
Ray, I'm confused ....
She is pushing me to your boat. What did you tell that girl anyway>?
BTW, going out at Depoe is no big deal ... coming back in the fog is a very different story. Save waypoints and don't erase your plotter.
Don't ask me how I know this is a good idea.
Don't ask Gregotis98 either.

Re: Sunday Tuna anyone?
I hadn't planned on it, but if Saturday is good for TUNA!, after halibut, then I'm thinking I'll probably go again on Sunday too.
There is a chance that 1 or 2 seats may open up on Sunday since I'm planning this so late, however I won't know for sure until Saturday afternoon. I'm not a guide, they work too hard, just a real AVID sport fisherman.
If you're interested, willing to share expenses, and can make it this Sunday on short notice (will call Sat. evening), send me an email with brief intro (fishing experience) and phone number where I can reach you. Must have some salt, no virgins please on this trip. :depressed:
More opportunities should arise in the next two months if this one doesn't work out.
Badger out.

Re: Sunday Tuna anyone?
Ray,
It kills us to have to turn down your generous offer, but we have company this weekend and need to stay home. :depressed: I suspect Jim's birthday trip with Popeye will have to satisfy our fishing cravings for a while--a short while.
Thanks, Ray!! I'm sure there are other worthy "salts" out there who would be honored to spend time with you on the big blue.
Have a safe and productive weekend!

Re: Sunday Tuna anyone?
Carborator permitted it for today (Saturday). Ocean didn't. If you go for it tomorrow, use extreme caution. The ocean this morning looked good, and turned nasty offshore a ways. 8'+ seas, close together. I'm guessing that the tuna are roughly 35-40+ miles offshore at this point.
I've cancelled the tuna run for tomorrow already and am gonna wait till the seas turn and bring the warm water back in closer again, and for a better day.
If you go, please be very safe and don't take unnecessary chances.

Re: Sunday Tuna anyone?
Well, we bagged the Tuna idea for Sunday and ran out for more King action. We bagged three more kings and a few nice bottom fish.
The Tuna will be there later.... Soon....
