Default VORTEC 6.0 vrs. the 5.7?????

My dad has the 5.7 vortec in his boat with an American Turbine and I am very familar with the amount of gas we use. I do not know anyone with the 6.0 but am looking at getting a 22' NR with the 360hp 6.0 and a 212 Hamilton. Is there a big differance in the amount of gas used? Thanks

if your worried about gas get a prop ...j/k i am no jet power guru but depending on how the 212 pushes the tub on step and where you stay on step rpm wise you might actually get just as good if not better depending.

I went with the 383 option on my 22' Thunderjet .it is the torque monster.it also has the Hami 212 w/2.4 turbo impeller.might have it re-pitched to 2.8 cuz it turns the RPM's a little high for the torque curve.congrats on the new boat!

I swapped out a 5.7 Kodiak and replaced it with a 6.0 Kodiak on my boat. Hamilton 773 jet and the 6.0 actually gets a bit better mileage overall. Probably because I was able to repitch the impellers with the additional HP.
