Re: TUNA! after Halibut Saturday Anyone??
Badger - I will be on the big pond both Friday and Saturday weather allowing. I hope to see you out there again, glad you found ifish OK.
I will be aboard one of Corrirods rides Friday (I sure think it would be fun to launch off the beach at PC ) And with EdSr on Saturday.
Got some new tuna lures that need proper field testing, and teeth marks are the only sign of success. So many lures, so little time

Re: TUNA! after Halibut Saturday Anyone??
John - they all work, some just better than others Some of the slackerds will be put on probation unless they get teeth marks on them soon.
To be honest I have only tuna fished a 1/2 day and didnt get to go thru the whole box of lures as the coolers got full before the lures all got a chance to dance.
I got a couple that need field testing, you interested in dragging one a couple miles this weekend? Got a killer looking black and purple plug that will be a favorite, It went up on the drawing board on Saturday and 4 came off the assembly line on Sunday, it hasnt even got wet yet One of the few lures I would bet on, as I know little to nothing of what "really" works in the field.

Re: TUNA! after Halibut Saturday Anyone??
I plan on being out there both days and weatrher and the fishing gods permitting, chasing the grand slam both days. The order will be Halibut-Tuna-Salmon. I will be launching from Newport this time. I stay on 78 and hope to see and/or talk to all of you then. Halibut take too much vacation time, but then that's what its for, right?!?

Re: TUNA! after Halibut Saturday Anyone??
IF the problems with the engine on Sea Jypzee are resolved thursday, I'll have it out for Halibut Friday and be out after TUNA on Saturday and Sunday. I scan both 78 and 80 on the VHF, so give us a holler any of those days.

TUNA! after Halibut Saturday Anyone??
Badger and crew plan to go halibut fishing Saturday -- either rock pile or chicken ranch. Is anyone interested in heading out a little further and hunting Mr. Albacore a bit later in the day, weather pending of course.
I know it's a ways out for marine forecasts, but here they are for now.
FRI
N WIND 15 KT. WIND WAVES 3 FT. NW SWELL 5 FT.
SAT
N WIND 20 KT. WIND WAVES 4 FT. SW SWELL 4 FT.
Roll call please if you're interested, details to be worked out later in the week.

Re: TUNA! after Halibut Saturday Anyone??
I can't fish for flatties because of licensing restrictions on my boat, but I
plan on fishing for TUNA! on Saturday out of Depoe Bay. Give me a call on VHF
channel 80 if you are so inclined. I'll answer to either Fish Assassin or Pacific
Mistress.

Re: TUNA! after Halibut Saturday Anyone??
Here's where things stand for Rotsa Ruck.
I received the special order thru-hull yesterday....and it's the wrong size.
I ordered 1/2" and they ordered and sent me 3/4".
Now I have to drive a dowel into the existing hole and re- drill.
Hopefully I can find a 3/4 to 1/2 reducer in brass locally.
So what I'm saying is I'm still a maybe.
