Got my house!!!
Well I finally closed on the place I wanted thanks to fishbait and his wife.
If you guys need an excellent mortgage person who will save you every last dollar he can you should get in touch with fishbait for sure.
My entire out of pocket including down payment was less than 6K, that includes inspection fees, fishbait's fees, down payment and everything all wrapped up was less than many of you guys have into your fishing boats.
This is my first and hopefully last house as it is where I want to live and eventually retire up in the mountains so I waited this long to find a place so my first place will be my only place.
It was worth the wait and fishbait and his wife jumped through all kinds of hoops to make sure I got it for dead, rock bottom price. The cool thing was he has been in the industry so long he can tell when some one is trying to pull the wool over your eyes and he will tell you. He kept me from getting the shaft on several occasions as this deal went through and I got a rate through him that was lower by several points than anyone else could even touch.
If you have questions PM me and I would be happy to answer. My new place is up between Vida and McKenzie bridge on the Upper McKenzie river near Blue River so I'll see you guys up in the woods cause I am out of the city forever here shortly.
-Andy

Re: Got my house!!!
congrats on the new house, I can't wait to get our first house, it was going to be this year but things didn't work out that way ( down payment and loan problems) but we are hopeful to be in a new house soon!! CONGRATS again.

Good luck, I hope you shoot a big one. I may not be down there this week. I have a bunch of work stuff to do this week up here in the city.

Re: Got my house!!!
My parents have a small cabin on King road in Mckenzie Bridge. If I could make a living in that area I would live there in a heartbeat. Harbicks have a pretty good thing going, hard to out compete them.
If you feel the need to tell me where all the nice bucks are for the sencond archery season, give me a pm
Congrats on the house, glad somebody is able to break away from the city.

Re: Got my house!!!
I should mention something as well people can PM me for the name if they want. Fishbait was able to guide me through the loan process and make sure I came in under budget but I should also mention my Realtor was amazing. If you anyone is looking for a house in the Eugene/Springfield area up the Valley to Sisters or down to Cottage Grove absolutely use this guy and no one else. I'll tell you why. My new house needed a new roof before Fishbait would let me buy it, see there he was again watching out for me. So my Realtor found a contractor and had him bid it. The former owners and I split the cost up to "X" dollar amount and I said if it came in over that the seller must pick up the cost. It ended up being close to two grand over the bid so get this the Realtor told the sellers and I he would pay it out of his comission on the house as he was representing both the sellers and myself the buyer. How many Realtors do you know that in these hard times put their word and good reputation before money? That takes some serious internal integrity. Originally I was going to try and not use a Realtor but I am so glad I did so if anyone is looking for an absolute straight shooter of a Realtor who is honest beyond reproach and will work super hard to make sure you get the place you want at a price you can afford PM me and I will give you his name. he isn't an iFish sponsor so I won't post his name on here directly.

Re: Got my house!!!
Congratulations on your new house. It is great to see people out there still buying homes. Now is a great time to buy!
Don't forget your $7500 tax credit for being a first time home buyer.

Re: Got my house!!!
Here is the house before the new roof so it looks even nicer now:
It's kind of hard to get full pictures of the house because I am surrounded by trees so if you back up far enough to get a full profile you can't see it hardly

Re: Got my house!!!
Andy,
Nice house. you better get your fishing poles ready because that's all you'll be doing on your days off... some good water to fish up there.
