Default 7/26 - Salmon on the Pilar - Pics

Yes... we actually went S-S-S, eh hem! Salmon fishing. (Whew! that was hard to say)

I'll skip the story and let the pics speak for themselves.

Troy's King

Slammin' the Salmon

Pilar and Stick Flicker, er, I mean, the "fish checker"

Ran into Corrirod, Gregotis, & Les (El Shaddai?) and another ifisher at the cleaning station.
Rod's Hawg

What an awesome day! I (almost) didn't even miss TUNA! fishing

Thanks for the pic Jen! It was a beautiful day out there.

That is an awesome photo of Ragnar. I brightened it up a little so you can really see the "grin". Now that's the picture of a happy fisherman!

Nice Pics, Jen, thank you!

I've never felt like I had a choice, Coho or King. Where we fish you get both. If you can get down through the clouds of hungry coho, you can find purple and gold, the colors of royalty.

The king of salmon.

Salmon fishing used to be my mainstay and I have backslid hard, oh my brothers. It was good to be back in church .. where the bend is your friend.

Thanks to my crew both days for big smiles and awesome fishing. I will post later some gps#'s and tech on Kings. At least what we did anyway, it sure worked Saturday. Coho are fun but Kings get much bigger.

Thanks Rod,
Who needs "Crest Extra Whitening Toothpaste" anyways? Huh? Maybe we should market this new "Salmon Flavor" to the teeth whitening folks Hummmm? Or perhaps market it to the folks that make depression medication? I can see the list of side effect now.....May cause dizziness, dry-mouth, profuse sweating and the use of the occassional swear word.
Yes, a boy and his fish.......How much more americana can you get? That's right up there with apple pie. Mmmmmmmm piiiiiiiiiiiiiiiie.....................(droooooooo oooool).
That's mighty fine slab you have there your own self sir. Did you ever get a weight on that?
Good seeing you fellas.

Congrats on the carnage
We headed out at daylight and had to travel west about 13 miles before we found any fishy water temp. We put a limits for three in the box but no nooks in the final tally. I heard you guys fished way north like right off of Beverly Beach. How far did you guys have to go out to get your fish?

Rainrshine, got bottom fish?

No, I have it. Can I meet you in Tigard tomorrow? Bring a cooler and maybe we can hook up before or for lunch or something.

Also there are some clothing items that were left in the boat ... a sweatshirt, white T shirt and a green rain coat.

Is that stuff yours or Nabeels?
