Default Rockpile halibut in August?

During the last halibut season, we had some success on the rockpile & were thinking of going back in August. But there's something in the back of my mind that says they might not be there... In past years, has anyone had rockpile halibut success this late in the year? Or should we head to the Chicken ranch? Thanks, LTF.

The Rock Pile was great for me the early august last year and this year in June. The fish are usually bigger at the pile.

Thanks guys! I appreciate the info. Hopefully we'll get into some salmon too; my buddy wants to catch himself chinook as well as a halibut. No problems here. A lot less 'driving' time too.
We had a couple nice fish on earlier this year - wish we could have met them!
