Crocidile

[Abalone]

I was on the Ocean this time last week fishing out of Nehalem bay. Started to get low on bait so I tied on a Crocidile. I changed the hook to a Sy wash barbless hook. It really attracted the fish and I got many hits. Problem was none of them hooked a fish. I could see under the boat as I cranked it up and several Coho were chasing it. I can't figure out why I couldn't hook up. Figure it was because they were going for the upper end of the lure but I really don't know ? Anyone know what the problem is ?

<font size="2" face="verdana,arial,helv">Aren't you supposed to be working Ron ? Wait till Maxi finds out you are playing on the computer again. I think the Krocadile thing was because the hook would bend back while the Kroc sspinning. I was too busy landing fish to mess with it. Next time I will use a different hook and I will wire it so it will not bend back. I can't imagine what else it could be because the Coho kept pounding it.
