Bad Day on the Pond for Albies
The Blitz, Sea Venture, Irish and some Depoe Bay charters all were out for tuna blood today and catching was bad. Sea Venture, one fish, Irish, 3 fish, Blitz, 0 fish, Depoe Bay boats, 0 fish. Conditions were great, the pond was great, the fish were there but didn't want to play.
Sure hope tomorrow is better.

Re: Bad Day on the Pond for Albies
EVERYWHERE! Sea Venture went out to 44 50/125 10 and nada. Blitz 44 50/124 50 then to 45 01/124 41 then to 44 30/124 38, nada. Same story with Irish. Depoe Bay boats I don't know. The pond settled down and it was a beautiful day but no life, no birds, no fish no nothing.....

Re: Bad Day on the Pond for Albies
In looking at todays SST, I'd suggest right on the 45-00 line, starting on a westerly heading at about 124-15 and moving out to about 124-25. Looks like a nice temp break there, with some warm water on the north side of that line.

Re: Bad Day on the Pond for Albies
Orrrrr, possibly starting on the 45 line, at about 124-25 and heading north, upto the 45-10 or so. There's a temp change in that area as well, but not as sharp an edge as on the inside.
I'd probably start on the inside, and work that line first out to the 124-25, then maybe move north some if I were going out this weekend.

Mike,
Sorry to hear about the tuna dirth. I hope you guys can locate them. I know your living depends on it! Those of us fishing our own vessels have greater luxury as far as a sense of urgency. Anything I hear or learn I will send your way...What days are you goin' tuna trollin'? It helps to know sometimes. See you on the blue side soon, WP
