Thanks Salty Dog, Popeye, Crazy Fish

Here's a huge thank you to Salty Dog, Popeye, and Crazy Fish, for putting me on to some albe's last Saturday afternoon. Did I get all your names right? My scribbles were a bit messy when I tried decifering them off the donut box on Sunday night. If not, please clarify for the future.

We hooked 5 in about two hours (right in the middle of the hottest afternoon I've seen off the Oregon coast) and had a triple to boot. That was awesome, with an 8' shark circling the boat. They were doing figure 8's to get away from the shark, and we landed two of the three -- it was crazy as hell for a few minutes, and it was great.

Anyway, thanks a bunch, again, I'm glad you pointed me to this great website. Were we anywhere near the infamous "61 degrees."

Look forward to doing it again.

Plan on chasing them this weekend, or are the SST's too cold?

I'm thinking you were talking to BOE on Edsr's dory last Saturday.
We had a good laugh knowing that WE got you into some fish. WE had never caught a tuna between us until that day, but we're pretty salty.
The 61 degree spot is a just a bit NW of where we were at. About 2 more minutes north in Longitide and one minute west in Latitude. I don't have the numbers on me, but the 61 degree location is just a few posts back.
