Default What's a Sage RPL worth?

I have some very nice fly rods that just haven't seen the water in years. One is a Sage RPL III, 10ft. 8-wieght. Back in the day it was more than $400. Is it still worth $200?

That sounds a little high...I would think more like $150, maybe a tad more if it's in very good shape, and a bit more yet if it's a four piece.

Thanks for all the info. It's a 3-piece. I'm going to dig it out and look at selling.

if it is 3 piece it is a rpl +. that rod is a great rod. you should be able to get 200 for it on e-bay.

H#ll yea,
no doubt. My 5 wt. Sage RPL+III is almost 10 years old, still to this day, I think it's the best casting trout rod I've ever owned.

Although, I don't have it inan 8wt, I would imagine it to be as equally pleasant.

I put it in the classifieds...rod is immaculate, slight wear on the cork but that's it.
Thanks again.

I have an RPL+ and bought it for nymph fishing. I got it used for 175 and the rod was basically new. Some people find the rod to be stiff casting. I have found it works very well with full sink lines. I like mine a lot and it is really, really good with the heavier lines.

There are a few RPLs that still quite valuable..... The more mainstream uses the rod has the easier it will be to sell....
