Default Winchester Bay Report

I don't get much of an opportunity to post fishing reports, so thought I'd post my report from last week.

Returned to Oregon for my annual fishing trip with my father and brother out of Winchester Bay. Caught a good mix of Chinooks and Cohos fishing in 200-300 feet of water straight out from the mouth of the Umpqua. Easy limits every day.

We used cut plug herring with green or purple hoochies fishing from the surface (coho) down to 50 ft (chinook). Largest fish was a 36lb Chinook.

Now I've returned to Virginia where I'm stuck fishing for Bluefin, Yellowfin, Dolphin, and the occasional billfish.

Good luck to you all!

Sorry you have to settle for those trashfish back home...but glad you got into some Kings!!!
Winchester is my home port, though I haven't been out of there in 5 years!
Congrats!
