I had a guy I work with do it and am very pleased at how it turned out.

Couldn't justify the funds (compared to the European). Spent too much on hunting this year already

They are. I may end up going the other way with them, but it doesn't look that bad to me. We will see after a few weeks.

Laminated pine. Wood burned w/torch, finish sanded, coated 3x with Polyurethane.

That mount looks good and that's a VERY nice buck! I just picked my Euro mount up today from the taxidermist.
