Default No more close-in bathtub water

As expected, the surface temps for the inside water have cooled off considerably since it started blowing. This will make for some nice edges though; it's still warm further out (35 - 40 miles). Also, the salmon should be pretty happy with the conditions right now.

CR Bouy is still at 57.9, down from 61 previous. (bout 20 miles out).

Do the salmom still bite in 49, 50 degree water temp? I am new to this ocean salmon fishing but I was under the impression the salmon fishing was at it's best in 52 to 56 degree range

TB, 49 is getting on the cool side for salmon. But remember, this is surface temp. There is such a huge push of warm water coming from the south, that there is certainly warmer sub-surface water once you get away from the near-shore. Look for the signs of upwelling: sharp color change, esp. brownish water, and the usual signs of feed.
