Default WA Duck Hunting Trip.. Pics

2nd trip of the year, 2 weekends ago we hunted the same area and shot only 3, my shooting was rusty with the over and under Weatherby. Should have had a limit.
This last SAT I only took 2 and my hunting was sharp, but very few birds. No other hunters in the area either. ( they must have all been elk hunting ) So I'm sure the birds were not getting pushed around. We packed up about 8am.

It was my girlfriends 1st experience to hunting. I out fitted her with some of my duck clothes. My son was wearing some of my stuff also as he outgrew all his old stuff. Sunday I went to Cableas and outfitted him with a new duck coat and bib coveralls.

It was a great day, My son per normal had a blast, the dog Kona is 5 for 5 now on retrieves.

I shot better with my old Remington Sportsman. 2 shells 2 ducks.

Girlfriend wants to go again when the big flights start to show up.

Pics of the day.

Sunrise behind us..

Super calm day

Not as cold as it looks, maybe a low of 28

Can't wait for some weather and new birds to the area.

LOL!!

Great story, Becker. Livin life to the fullest can be as simple as sharing a sunrise over the autumn marsh. Nice work!
