Default Top dressing reels

I would like to fill my Shimano TLD30II with 80lb spectra and top it with 100 yds of mono to increase the line capacity. Is there an easy way of doing this?

Stren has a new knot that you can check out on their website under "library". It's basically a uni knot on one side (the thick line side) and an improved clinch on the thin line side.

I haven't tried it yet, but it looks pretty good. I have used an albright knot for this in the past, but the "stren" knot looks easier.

All it takes is some money.... Tie a Bimini in your spectra and purchase a premade topshot and use the loop to loop connection. topshots I think there may be directions for the riggin also on the site...

A uni-to-uni is said to work, although I have not tried it. I did mine with a Bimini in the spectra, then an albright to the mono. You use the bimini double in the spectra to wrap the mono when doing the albright.

I believe you would have no problems if you dispensed with the bimini, just doubled over the spectra, then tied it to the mono using an albright. This is in fact the recommended way to tie PowerPro to mono as shown in the directions I received with PowerPro line.
