Hagg lake is close by, and a good place to start. It hold large and smallmouth bass, panfish and trout. Do you own a boat or pontoon? I would suggest the columbia river or willamette but go with someone that know the rivers first if your going in a boat. All three have bank access and good fishing from shore at select locations. Get out there soon before the action slows down for the winter. I got a 4lb and numerous 2lbers in the columbia yesterday so there is still good fishing to be had. My wife cought her best smallmouth too at 3lb 10oz on a rattle trap.
