Friday on the Pacific Mistress (Depoe Bay)

Brother and I fished TUNA! out of Depoe Bay on Friday (the 18th). Went
out almost 20 miles before we saw blue water. Got our first hook-ups on
rods and reels at 22 miles. Fished around there for a while and then headed
West looking for the "big score". At about W44.60 N124.38 we found a patch of
biters and ended the day with 46 fish for 840 lbs. The fish were a little smaller
than the week before, but we still had a little over an 18 lb. average.

The ocean was not very nice on Friday ... not like it was on Saturday, that's for
sure!! On Saturday I fished alone for ling cod and scored 258 lbs. of ling
and 41 lbs. of sea bass by 11:am. Then I had to go get the boat cleaned up and
go to a wedding Saturday evening. Totally missed the Sunday fishery. How was the
ocean on Sunday? As nice as it was on Saturday?

FA, nice haul there Friday

Wak and I never did get into the #'s to speak of ,worked the 20 to 23 mile mark off Depoe and then Ran back for Newport and picked up our Chinook,we did talk to marty and he picked up a 30lb bluefin.

Wow! You guys are killing me!! Looks like a *real* nice ocean on Sunday.
RATS!! Sorry I had to miss it ... but my wife was NOT taking NO for an answer
about going to that wedding on Saturday evening! Something about I could just
go live on the boat if fishing was *that* important to me??

... and Marty getting a blue fin! I'm jealous! MY TURN!!!
