Default Oregon/WA Gunsmiths

I am looking for some references for work I want done on Rem 700s. I am looking for someone who can do action blueprinting, epoxy action and pillar bedding, and rebarreling with a custom barrel.

Looking for someone that is highly exerienced with benchrest or competition rifles. Will consider Idaho and Montana as well.

Thanks for your help!

Don't know if he's still in business but years ago "vancouver gunsmiths" did a trigger job on a 1911 that when done felt real good only trouble was the hammer had a tendenecy to follow the slide down even with no finger on the trigger, since fixed by dan giles out at whipple creek if he's still working sure does good work for me.

Hey -I know Les! Great guy. Niiiice checkering work.

You might also talk to Mike Fees at Brightwater Ventures in Vancouver. He does smithing in the back of his shop.

Tom rebarreled a 700 for me but I didn't have the action blueprinted nor the stock bedded. Bedded the stock myself. One gunsmith I read a lot about is Darrel Holland in Powers, Ore. He has developed a bedding system where the barreled action seems to be attaches by a bedding block around the chamber of the barrel. He also makes his own recoil lugs for 700's. Steve Timm of Varmit Hunter Mag speaks highly of him and has several of his rifles.
