Pilar - Will These Work??
Think these things will work?
My Clones shrank! TCF-100s. Zukers Broomtail in the center for perspective.
The Fishtraps are the Charkbait reasonable facsimile. Are these close to the colors you were having luck with?
Thanks......wish I had a boat!

Re: Pilar - Will These Work??
Those all look good and will fish. We caught fish on identical clones last weekend. You need to add some purple and black also. Half our fish came on purple and black last week. It was an overcast day.
Now get some leader and hooks on them Steve!

Re: Pilar - Will These Work??
TCF 100s fish great. It's hard to keep em in the water when it's rough, especially with a heavy leader. I like to rig em with 80 pound and use em on the rod and reels, but they will work with 200 on a handline, but you may have to run a torpedo sinker in front of them.

Hey, Crabbait ... I really like the Mexican flags. How much do those things cost 30 miles offshore??

Re: Pilar - Will These Work??
I think they escalate at about 15% per mile! Can become priceless depending on the bite and the limited supply!

Re: Pilar - Will These Work??
Great looking stuff Crabbait...We use to tie up leaders for the jigs but nowadays we just throw a big ole barrel swivel onto the double hook and tie our line directly to the swivel which is now attached to the double hook..It's been working great for us this year but whatever your comfortable with............fish don't seem to care..............

Re: Pilar - Will These Work??
I thought we came up with it aboard ship about 20 years ago. We were discussing building a ladder long enough to reach into space and making it "float" by having enough of it in space to balance the rest.
I am sure you are correct on the spelling. All we knew was that the material to build a ladder strong and light enough was not available on this planet: Unobtainium (obtain = aquire, much better).

Re: Pilar - Will These Work??
Crabbait, the term is 'unobtainium', coined by my buddy Threemuch. All the best stuff is made of unobtanium. It took me a couple of days to quit laughing about that one after he explained it to me.

Re: Pilar - Will These Work??
It seems like all our prototype designs are made from Interferium, which can only be used to make parts that do not fit together with any other parts.
All our production parts are made from unobtainium, or possibly unavailablium, or maybe even nonexistium. Looks like Ed makes some of the parts of his boats out of this stuff. It's good stuff if you can get it, and get it you can, just never when you need it.
Suppliericus Behindschedulicus. Much more common than the very rare Suppliericus Ontimeicus.

Re: Pilar - Will These Work??
I just ordered a small suply of TCF100's for my boat. Hope they work as well as you guys say! I needed to restock on clones anyway. I think I have a love-hate relationship with Charkbait and Cabella's.

Re: Pilar - Will These Work??
Yeah, I wish the boat was done. But it is kinda like the sign on a shop wall I saw one time:
"Pick any two:
1. A good job.
2. A cheap job.
3. A quick job."
I am not saying that Ed does a cheap job but most important is that he does a good job.
My brother often warns me, "The worse ya want it, the worse ya get it!"
Take your time but hurry up, Ed. Skein and I are going nuts!
