Ok, we took the advice, we're going out next Friday, I'm pumped!! He had called in this morning with 25 fish for 14 people so far, don't know what the final tally was.

I saw them out today. They were in a good spot for sure. The BLACK ROCKET took 37 from there yesterday, and 14 today/.

Tady, bring any gear you like. If it's not compatible, we will fix. The fish we are catching are HOOOOGS 22+ lbs. and fight very well. The Sea Venture was 22 miles out today and had 30+ fish on by noon. They were using hand lines though and I don't know what the count would be if he used poles. I believe you get more hook ups with the poles because tuna are line shy. Mono all the way and lighter gets more hits. We will be using 70 lb. test trolling zukers and clons. I'm not having real good luck with the cedar plugs but you can try them if you'd like.

Capt...looking forward to the trip, if I had any rigs running monofilament, I'd bring it, but all of my heavy stuff has Tuf line, so I'll leave it at home.

Thanks for the info I will pack my reels with monofiliment to match yours. I will bring some rigs to throw fishtraps and some jigs that work well in San Diego.

I ahve also booked a trip on the 25th with the blitz. It will be nise to meet some Ifishnet people finnaly. I check this web site nightly.

Egads!!! All you ifishers in the same spot at the same time???!! :shocked: Hope you all will be on your best behavior........tuna killin'!!

It promises to be a great trip. Weather looks like it will come down a bit and should be okay. I like a little bump for tuna fishing, helps to hide the boat from the tuna

Looking forward to meeting all you guys. Crazy Deeno (my deckie) wants to know what an ifisher is.
