Spent this morning on a beautiful ocean chasing salmon. Noticed I was fishing in 57.9 degree water at 2 miles out of Florence. After filling the box with salmon  we headed west a few miles and found 58.8 degree water - saw a few sharks on the surface and the water was a beautiful clear aqua color - pretty neat - never seen that out of Flo town. I could hear those long finned blue buzz bombs calling me to the west but alas I needed to get to work. Talked with a commercial at the take out and he pointed to another boat that supposedly brought in over 300 fish  yesterday from 20 miles out. Must of been a multiday trip. As warm as the water was at 4 miles I'm not suprized. And yes, there were a dozen or so carks laying in the mud at the (poor excuse of a) cleaning station. With low tide they were gettin pretty ripe..........
Anybody ever do any good out of Florence ? The SSTs look like there is an eastern dip to the temp line just west of there.
