Mustad Doubles 7982's
Well I've search and search for these in the non-stainless, barbless version and have come up with a goose egg.
Englunds in Astoria and Newport were both non-stock items.
I've search every other on-line tackle store that I can find.
Anybody know where I can get some?

Check the fuel dock at South Beach. Last time I was there, the guy had stainless barbless tuna doubles for less than 2 bucks each. Cheap.
I think Seattle Marine has em too.

Seamar is a bust too, only barbed SS.
Fishermans had some barbed SS version at Delta, but I haven't been to OC. I've always found more gear at Delta and OC is a bad drive for me.
Guess I'll have to settle for the SS barbed versions and do some filing.

Englunds had them over the weekend of the 4th. Both stainless and non, barbed and barbless.

Re: Mustad Doubles 7982's
Picked up what I believe you are looking for at Englund' Astoria store last week. Mustad #78925, size 22, tandem stainless, barbless.
They were down to their last box on the shelf (needed a box for Pilar and one for Bugleman, one for me). One of the guys went in back and brought out a fresh supply.

Re: Mustad Doubles 7982's
Filing the barb down is not the same as the barbless hooks. It is the extra little wiggle on the end of the barbless hooks that help the fish stay on. When you file the barb down on the barbless ones you basically have a straight jay double hook. Plus the barbless ones come to a uniform point. It always amazes me how such a thick hook can be so sharp and stay so sharp. I am reminded everytime you accidently get stuck with one.

You might try http://www.nikkaindustries.com in Richmond BC.
I've bought 'em there in the past and they're listed on the site look under ' Tuna Gear'-' tuna accessories'.
A phone call is probably be faster than email-they are somewhat busy these days.
