For those of you in the southern pt of the state you might want to consider the Eureka port for Albacore. Big numbers have been scored the last few days, 20-35 miles out. I boated 21 yesterday in sloppy sea conditions. The old adage: Bright sky/Bright colors held true.
Capt KuJo,
That site is amazing. I scrolled down to the San diego Boats . There was one there that had 19 Passengers with 380 Albies 12 Bluefin and 3 yellowtails!! All I can say is WOW!!! I am countingthe days now for my first Tuna Town Trip next Friday. Thanks for the site. Tigh Lines ,Tom
Hummingbird Two words for you on those San Diego Counts:
Multiday Trips!
That score is likely a three day trip. Still a great score. When you get em going on bait, it is amazing. Imaging 19 people, all hooked up, and 1000s of fish boiling all around the boat. Sometimes a bait stop can last for hours.
