Default Annual Idaho Deer/Elk Hunting Trip (Pic Heavy)

Just got back from our annual deer/elk hunt in Idaho and had another great time. We have been seeing lots animals, especially last year and this year was no exception. All in all we harvested 4 bucks and 3 elk (1 bull and 2 cows).

The first two bucks were taken Sunday.

Beautiful country!

Got my buck on Wednesday.

With three elk down the day before, the fun part begins.....packing it all out. 4 people and two trips up and down the mountain they were all out

Hanging the last ham of the last elk you can guess what happened.....

So we built another one that wouldn't break.

Cutting up the elk I put a nice cut in my finger (too the bone)

Luckily we had someone in camp to stitch me up.

All of the pictures

Great job and great pics. What general area were you in? I am heading to Idaho for elk in 2 weeks. The country you were hunting looks more open than where I hunt.

You poured Black Velvet on a cut? I guess its a better use than drinking it!

Looks liek you guys had a great time.

I like the Black Velvet trick. A better way is to get enough of it on the inside so that you don't need to waste it from the outside.

Nice meat pole - congrats!

Congrats! Man that is one busy hunting camp. With all that meat to cut up no wonder you bring your own medical staff.

Congrats, way to get it done.

Next time try Super Glue, Duct Tape, and about half the amount of whiskey for that cut

That is neat that the deer and elk season is together.
