Default There are NO TUNA on this post!

Just some pic's from our June trip down the river and doing some estuary sturgeon fishing OK? It's old fishing news cause I haven't joined the digital revolution yet but you'll just have to deal with it. Hey- I do have a scanner at least!

All right- first up is:

Ah yes- Tuni's friend Sandra and I "assuming the position" for the Big One that is just about to bite!

Next:

Ok-so this is an interesting picture. We found these two Sturgeon drunk and argueing on the dock. My Nephew Gary put on his best bouncer/tough guy routine and promptly broke up the fight and 86'd them right to the freezer.

Whats this?

Oh-now pay close attention folks. This is actually a very valuable treasure map. The secret Sturgeon honey hole is right there above that dangerous bridge where there are NO FISH esp. in August and right under that rainbow. No coordinates needed, just follow the rainbow.

Next:

Ah-just goes to show that even on a boat a womans place in in the Galley, or is she heading for the head? Ouch, Tuni stop hitting me, that hurts!
Actually I want you guys to pay close attention to what happens when you let the ladies on board YOUR FISHING BOAT. Check the counter there, fruit bags, fruit bowls, fruit baskets, loose fruit, fruit salad and of course even the infamous LONG YELLOW FRUIT!

But, just to show that the banana thing is all baloney:

Yes- Sandra caught this fine trophy with the bananas right there on board. Are you proud of us Crabbait? Promise we didn't hurt your little mascot (too much).

And last but certainly not least:

The properly attired skipper, complete with Patriotic Hat (which got a full honors burial at sea last trip out) and Pink Barbie Diamond Studded Sun Glasses (and they float)!

I just realized that my wife is conspicuously missing from these pics, no incriminating evidence at all. Maybe that's why I could never find the camera on that trip? Oh, but I said NO TUNI so I couldn't have posted her anyway!
Just wanted to prove that us Salties do not all have Tunal Vision 365 days a year. You gotta take some breaks and tie up Tuna gear while you're Sturgeon fishing once in a while.

PS- you know that spellcheck wants to replace "Tuni" with "Tunny"? Pretty funny huh? Ouch, Ouch, stop that, ouch that hurt!

Lookin' good there "Mr. Melton John"

I know my way to that sturgeon hole with my eyes closed. Good thing to because following that rainbow would be tough for me. The weather never seems to be that good when I go fishing.

"Melton John" LOL!!!

Hey, Mel, are those glasses polarized? I might be interested in a pair.

I, too, have buried many hats at sea. The eulogy usually consists of, "Whoa, dammit, I lost my hat. We gotta go back."

I've found that adult beverages can help you get through the pain of loss, but only back at shore, and preferably after washdown.

I'm thinking the only fruit on your boat is the guy standing in front of the helm!
And I'm sure Tuni bags you up and throws you in the boat too!
