Default Forest Lakes

As not to potentially disclose someone’s honey hole. I am looking a lake near Vernonia that starts out in the woods. My question is for anyone that’s hunted around that area is there a potential for duck hunting? You can PM me for more details. I am looking to make the drive to check it but wanted to make sure the coast was clear!

Thanks

Default Re: Forest Lakes

not an expert but from my experience some of those forest lakes have a local population on them but i dont think they draw much as far as new birds coming in. If it is close to other water that you know holds birds throughout the season than it might be worth giving it a shot. If not, then setup on the side of hwy 26 down by the turnoff to vernonia there are always birds down there when it floods!!!
