Oregon State Police (OSP) Fish & Wildlife Division is asking for the public's help in identifying the suspect(s) involved with the illegal killing and waste of a deer found Tuesday in the Siletz area.
On October 14, 2008 OSP Senior Trooper Mark Hathaway responded to Mill Park boat launch in Siletz to investigate a report of a dead doe deer. The OSP Fish & Wildlife trooper discovered a partially salvaged blacktail doe deer in the parking lot where it appears the deer was shot the day before and dumped at that location. Three quarters were missing but a substantial amount of usable meat was left on the carcass.
Anyone with information is urged to call the Oregon State Police Turn in Poacher (TIP) line at 1-800-452-7888.
