Scam Alert - "Mystery shopper"
Yesterday my son received a mailing from National Market Vision containing a check for just under $4000. The enclosed letter advised he had been selected as a Mystery Shopper, and contained instructions to WIRE $3000 of the funds BACK to National Market Vision, spend a few hundred as he secretly shopped and evaluated stores, and to retain the balance as payment.
Uh huh.
Don't fall for it, folks. By the time the check you received bounces, you will wired the $3k and your bank will expect you to cover it.

Turn the notice over to the Attorney General's Office. They follow these groups and try to shut em down.

Re: Scam Alert - "Mystery shopper"
pretty brazen to send an actual fake check in the mail to an unknown person. Wouldn't that be mail fraud?

Re: Scam Alert - "Mystery shopper"
I googled National Market Vision and they did not show up. SCAM, but if there were a company, I bet they sure would like to know about this fraud.

County refund checks for 100 bucks... you have to spend 50 of it in local stores, 50 of it at local gas stations, 50 of it at local garage sales, and return 150 of it to the State to cover 'the taxes'.
