Hey, this is a friendly reminder that ifish is a different sort of web site. We have this thing on ifish about being friendly, and keeping disrespectful comments off of the board. (I know! Weird!

)

I have received quite a few complaints lately of people not wanting to visit, due to some disrespectful and unfriendly banter.

I am really strict about ifish, in this way. If ifish doesn't remain a friendly place to be, I'd just as soon not be involved in it.

Therefore, the moderators and I will be watching the forums closely and if we see a pattern of disrespect or unfriendliness, we will be deleting accounts, without explanation.

I'm sure that if you wake up someday and find that your login no longer works, that after this notice, you'll know why.

I really don't like this approach, but I really don't like people to complain about a forum on ifish that isn't friendly.

That said, I'm sure that this warning will be enough to halt the posts that we are tempted to make, sometimes, in frustration.

If you can't stop yourself from saying something that isn't allowed on ifish, e mail it to the person, or take it to a private message. We'd just as soon you not send it at all, but if you have to, keep it off the main boards.

Once someone starts in a negative way, it seems to gain momentum and others follow. We are going to nip it in the bud and just delete posts, and delete monikers.

We hope the opposite... the friendliness and the love for our sports that brought us together in the first place snowball, rather than the negatives.

I hope you have a great day, and thank you for helping ifish make this a place that we all feel comfortable visiting.

Well, if everyone behaves like grown-up does, Jennies does not have to repeat this over and over again. I was glad I found this forum so we can learn things in a positive way
