Depoe Bay boat storage
Does anyone know a place I can leave my boat in or near Depoe Bay, when I am doing several days in a row? I currently either tow it back and forth to Lebanon or rent dock space in Newport (haven't tried Depoe moorage) The cost of gas to tow and the extra time it takes is inhibiting. All help would be appreciated.
Thanks, WP

Re: Depoe Bay boat storage
Hi WP. I have a suggestion. My friends manage a mini storage in South Beach, and she has space for $45 per month, I believe it's outside space. Very nice gated storage area w/ video cameras, and access to water for flushing. If your intrested you can contact Jane @ Lincoln Mini Storage (541)867-6550. Just a thought. Are you going out Mon or Tues? Brian

Re: Depoe Bay boat storage
I would love to join you WP, but I don't have a boat. I was hoping mabey filling an extra seat? I could help with gas thats about all I know.I'm new to the Newport area and the ocean fishing thing but I really would like to learn. Pilar handed down a tuna hand line, but not sure if it's tuna ready. If you have a extra seat I would be intrested.

Re: Depoe Bay boat storage
WP... I second gotfish76's suggestion. Have rented there a couple of times (2 years ago, and again this summer)... they are often full.. so keep checking. Last rate I heard for a 21' boat was approx $50 (rate increased)... but give them a call.
There are also a couple accross the street from them... approx the same cost. Good folks to work with... not had any security problems there.

Re: Depoe Bay boat storage
WP,
How big is the boat? I have a fixer in Depoe that
I use on weekends. It has some parking and is close in. May be able to work something out.

Slimfish,
It is a 20' Hewescraft on a single axle trailer. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Depoe Bay boat storage
It sounds like you have it covered with some of the responses, but in a pinch you can put it in the driveway. I'll ok with Mrs. if you want. Have yet to fish out of depoe. Been watching
boats in and out. Seems like seven wave sets.
Have 16 ft Arima and fish colombia system, tillamook, and newport mostly, just found site a few weeks ago and have been into the tuna chat.
Caught yellow and blue fun but yet to albacore fish (fastest of all tuna). Are you skipping plugs? Using meat on hand lines? With all the fishing out of depoe I am lame for not fishing my
front yard.

Re: Depoe Bay boat storage
WP, I've used Lincoln Storage in Newport a couple of summers. Nice folks. They also have a location in Lincoln City that may work better for you.
In Newport I talked the manager into leaving the hose attached and getting permission to use it for boat cleanup.
Be sure you mention you're with Ifish... they like working with us!
