Default Depoe Bay Saturday :( :) :( :)

So how did the rest of you all do.....

I knew we were doomed after punching a hole in the wd40 can and having to slide around in oil.

When we got back home the wind picked up on the beach....did you all make it home without bruises?

I will be out Monday....if anyone is going I will see ya then...

I knew we were doomed when the first bullet bounced right by the slush tank and back in the water

Well, looked a little sloppy runnin out to the numbers, paired up with Puffin for the run, dropped em in within 2 miles of the "spot" and started goin at em. 3 rods, single, single, double (1/2) tripple (2/3) but...the wind was crankin and the waves were buildin.

We made a turn and trolled back through, ended up with 7 in the box for maybe an hour in the blue water.

Long ride home. Stopped in the slosh at 300' and dropped in the salmon gear, 20 minutes and Brad has a fat "nooker around 30 up to the boat, then a shark jumps him (the nooker, not Brad) and chases him off then...Mr Smily gets in the line and breaks the main line above the diver... Stupid Shark

We listened to the pukers talk about how bad it was gettin and came into the hole around 1:30.

Sounds like you were Whackin and a Stackin. Good to meet everyone.

Thanks to Fishplay for the Barley Pop.

Big Thanks to "Big Shad Brad" for the tuna trip aboard the Ugly Green.

See yah again on a calmer day.

GRB

Now that is a great idea Mark! Who would need to set that up? Jennie? I think a "Dog Gallery" would be excellent.

We ended up with 11 but man we missed a lot of fish. We had 5-6 up to the boat even and lost them. The rest we had come unbuttoned during the first run. They'd hit, run, we'd grab the pole, tighten the drag down a little, then BAM, off they'd go, bye-bye.

We started the day off with a tuna that was in a hurry. I set out the first pole then went to put a the handline in and about 1/2 way out he tries to pull me out of the boat! I tried to fight him as I was letting more line out but he eventually broke the 150lb. leader! I had the tuna cord on a sort of spool so I couldn't get it to come off fast enough to get to the snubber. That made me mad but got me excited as well. I changed out the lure/leader and about 1/2 way into letting it out again, the pole starts screaming! Whooooohooooo, 1st fish on!

Wish the day would have been a little nicer weather wise but at least we all came home with some fish.

That's quite the line-up. Watch out for the little guy with the knife! I've seen pictures of him using that thing...looked like a Manson murder site!
