We saved some deer !!!!
Well I had to leave hunting camp early, but before I left we had connected on 3 buck's and a COUGAR!! 
My brother in-law walked up to a ledge to look over in to a burned area and low and behold there this cougar was croutched down on a big rock.
He ended up weighing 157 lbs and was 6' 9". When we measured him, we didn't get to really strech him out, cause the biologist was putting that orange tag on him, so this cougar was atleast 6'9"

Nice. That should be good area next year for deer and elk. At least 12-15 more head than when this guy was living. Good color too. Is the red thing in his mouth a tag the ODFW put on? Probably make a really good mount.

It was taken in the Silivies unit..
Biologist had to call the office, since he has never done a report on a cougar. The Bio was a VERY nice guy, actually all the people at the booth were real happy we got this cat. Yes the Oreage thing is a tag a ODFW put on. Deer and Elk number's were way down from what we saw, we did manage 3 bucks and that was all we saw, except for one real nice one we didn't connect on.So hopefully there will be a few more animals next yr with this big guy gone. Oh and all this was on Private ground.
