Baskett- try searching the Salty Dog forum for Shrimp Gun or Sand Shrimp. THere was a big thread on it a month or so back. A lot of do it yourself info, but I think there were some posts about where to buy them too.

Sorry- it was on the main board, not the Salty's. Only two locations listed, Kimmels Sporting Goods in Tillamook and Harry's Bait and Tackle on Newport's waterfront.

Found another thread that says fishermans has them. Maybe they were jsut out. I'd call and ask. I'll bet Englunds in Astoria has em too.

I bought mine at Englund Marine. Cost about 20 bucks each.

Default sand shrimp guns

I have been to Joes, Fishermans Marine and a few small local stores in PDX and can not find one any where. Where can I get one? Ill be at Barview this weekend and I thought it would be fun to have my son help me get out bait. Should I just wait until I get to the coast to get one? Does Tillamook bait company have these?

Try making one from PVC pipe and a rubber ball with a piece of threaded round stock for about $5. e-mail me and I will be more specific. I have had mine for about 20 years and have only had to replace the ball a couple of times.

I picked one up at the Sportsman Warhouse down in Salem for 12 bucks. The new one that opened on 82nd in Portland should have them.
