Re: Who's Tuna Fishin This Weekend?
Have fun Bruce and crew! Looks like I'll be digging up a water line in the pasture and repairing. I either have a broken fitting at a frost free hydrant or a new artesian well has suddenly sprung up and is trying to reform Lake Hillsboro in my back yard.
Hmmm...beach front property, I like it!

Re: Who's Tuna Fishin This Weekend?
Saturday, Depoe 0500 w/ Puffins Crew as able deck hand and Ocean Blue as my number one. She will be driving the boat and acting as pilot.
We may also get a little Salmon Fu Fu by the Newport whistler Friday if all goes well. I'm not sure who will be in the boat then but I feel like I need a little shakedown after the latest repair episode.

Well Popeye,
I hope I'm not speaking out of turn, but........I'll be going out as crew on the Black Rocket with CAPT KUJO and fellow crewmember Cooter on Saturday. We''ll be sporting the drysuits and probably be going pretty fast from what I hear. Cooooool! I believe the plan it to leave bright and early from Depot. See you out there I'm sure.

Re: Who's Tuna Fishin This Weekend?
Looks like I'm going to make the trip up to see you guys on sunday out of Depoe Bay. I'm going to try and make the run with the pack of ifishers for the first time up North. I'm probably going to have a couple of rookies with me unless dad decides to bring the big boat. I'm chomping at the bit though to get it on! The weather forcast looks awsome. They should be getting closer and closer with the west swell! I wish I was out there today. WORK SUCKS!!! I'll either be in a 21' Fish Rite Sled (aka tailchaser) or dad's 27' Bayliner (sallysea). I can't wait to say FEEEESH ONN!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Who's Tuna Fishin This Weekend?
Popeye,
With 61 degree water on the Pile and climbing, we couldn't stand it anymore. We are planning to launch at South Beach at 5:00 and head out for the longfins. Do you have a specific location you are heading to, or a general course that will put us in the same general vicinity as you?
I'll be on board a 21' Trophy as my steering went out on my last trip and I just got the new parts today.
Good luck and hope to talk to you on the water.

Catch and Eat,
I haven't caught sturgeon in so long I have forgotten what they looked like. Last fish I caught was a 13" trout under a bobber with power bait.
You can guarentee there will be pics. Lots of pics!
Let the blood bath begin.

ATC - Why? I bet you can talk your customers into a tuna hunt  Slamon and bottom feeders on the way in?
Sounds like it's gonna be one heck of a on the water Sat.
Fishplay - you got a full crew or can you take Jim and Janis? I'd love to see them get out there for the bullets.

Choo Choo will be heading out on sunday for tuna if weather permits. 20' long has to be a nice day to make the run. Any gps coordinates would be appreciated as well as any one else interested in teaming up or meeting at a spot.
If not there are always sams and lingers. Also noticed people from Sherwood and Tigard in the discussion would like to meet with people who enjoy this sport as much as I always saftey in numbers
