Re: Dog naming contest...
I like two syllable, ending in an ee sound (my dog's name is Lucy).
Baby
Bailey
Bonnie
Betty
Bunny
Beauty (you could get a male dog later and name it Beast)
If she is going to be a big girl, and since she is a chessie, you could just call her Beast.
Congrats on the new pup. A new dog is great. A new hunting dog is the bomb-diggety.

Bridget
Binky
Blondie (if she's a deadgrass)
Bankie (she's a peake, she'll cheat the shore!)
Babe
Not very good at girl names, and my daughter has decided that our new chessie pup (will come home next month) will most likely be call "Ceberus", you know the three headed dog that guards hell in Greek mythology! You've ruined her Tilla. I like "Orthus" which is Ceberus' two headed brother. If it turns out to be a female, then "Chimera" the sea monster sister of the two above or the last sister "Hydra".

Your moniker name should be snail instead of grasshopper. Seriously, how people supposed to put a name on a dog without pictures?

Re: Dog naming contest...
How about naming them after something that you admire.
Like a river, or a mountain.
Maybe even a run of automobile.
Just dont get into the fiasco involved with naming other things "bands/stories/ art"
Your dog knows its name,
you just will have to call it.

I've always wanted to name a pup - DeeOhGee
I've also always wanted two hound dogs - one named damit and the other women. That way I could get away with standing on the back porch and yelling - "Damit, Women get out from under that porch."
Sorry ladies, the devil made me do it - honest.

My buddy named his dog DeeOhGee or DOG. It was short for Duke of Georgia. It worked out good for him.
