Thursday 7/10 salmon or tuna

Ok, Sea Jypzee is back in commission. Just had to replace a fuel filter, and all is working perfectly again. Just came in from a trial cruise and all went great.

Soooo, since I'm off work tomorrow, I am willing to take people out for a trip tomorrow. Willing to do Salmon or Tuna. 4 open seats for Salmon, 2 or 3 seats open for Tuna. If it's a tuna trip, will leave Depoe Bay dockside at 05:00am. If Salmon, can leave at 06:00am. The ocean forcast is looking favorable.

Email me and we can get things set up. If it's a tuna trip, I have to have time to get extra gas tonight. I carry 40 extra gallons of gas for the return trip home.

Call in with a severe case of tuna fever. Only cure is salt air and the sight of fresh tuna blood on the deck.

Nancy- If ya take Rick out you won't get any blood on the deck, it'll all be on him. I think he mops the deck, with himself. :grin:

Speaking of which, you should have seen Keta Sat. with a bleeding TUNA stuck between his legs doing the death rattle (the Tuna, not Keta).
I don't think he'll EVER be the same. He had this dreamy far away look in his eyes the rest of the weekend. He just kept mumbling something about selling the sheep. :grin:

Unfortunaly I am swamped at work right now and can't afford to take a day off. Got talked into taking over someone else's job while they are on vacation and might have gotten in a little over my head.

If someone has a weekend seat for me I'ld love to go, if not I should be able to make a weekday trip in a couple weeks. If i don't bash my head into this dang computer.

Stick Flicker - Going out of Depoe Bay. I had to work this morning and had a bad fuel filter that had to be taken care of.

Coldsteel - ok, will be running more trips later on as well. None this weekend, (working). Next weekend trip for me will probably be the 20th for anyone interested.

Hmmmmmm............... Sounds like it could be fun. I think I can get away all day tomorrow. Never done the tuna thing. In fact Ive never done the salmon thing out on the big blue pond either...... But Im willing to learn and get a little bloody if its a tuna trip.

Ok, got the gas and ice in the truck. Spoke to one of the charter guys just a few minutes ago. Said he heard of a boat 26 miles straight out from Newport today got 40+ Albies.

And they said El Nino was dead? What's this going to look like by Sept 1st?

Kujo - We're meeting at the dock at 5am...probably leaving 5:15-5:20 or so once we get the gear loaded up. Running on 78 out there. Would love to have ya run with us. I'm probably going to put at least a few hand lines out at about 15 miles offshore in looking at the new SST for today. Would be awesome if we can get into fish at 15 miles without making a long trip out!

Mel - Oh how I wish we had live bait available here on the Central Coast!! It would be wild and crazy!

I agree, this is going to ruin the Salmon season though.

Went out today and returned with 24. Stopped fishing in a hot bitwe because we ran out of cooler capacity and ice. Marty was killing them on fishtraps in the same area. Going to sleep now....will be at Depoe at 0500 tomorrow! TUNA!!! The ocean was a table top today...lets hope for more of the same!
