Wa Shiras Hunt Success!!!
This is the bull my wife shot on Fri. morning at 8:30am, we had been looking for him since Tues. morning the day before her hunt started. We passed on 3 real good bulls waiting for him to show and when he did she was ready, one shot from her .338 Win. Mag. at 150 yards and the bull was hers!!!
We hunted 3 days and saw 15 bulls and 2 cows, we were in the Huckleberry unit NW of Spokane about 20 miles.
Her bull had a 45 1/2" spread and 12 pts. on the right and 10 on the left, it also had an amazing 4 brow tines on each side!
She is going to have it mounted, I said it can only fit in the living room and she said so what!!

Wow, nice bull. It sure would be nice to see more of those in Oregon, looking at the habitat in the photo, it sure looks like where I hunt over East.

Very nice.
If my wife killed a moose like that I would add on to the house so there would be room for the mount!

Re: Wa Shiras Hunt Success!!!
Beauty of a Shiras! Anything over 40" is a really nice moose, that's a true trophy. Isn't it kind of surprising how much moose is on a moose?

Re: Wa Shiras Hunt Success!!!
That's a great bull. I have relatives that live just south of Chewelah and the moose population in that area has really taken off in the last several years. It's great to see.
