Talking 2008 Blacktail

Dressed out at over 150lbs. He is a 21" 3x3, not my best but he is my widest.

Thanks guys.

Hey Darren, you should come by our house while you're down here. We have some new mounts up, and my mom will fry up some backstraps.

Well that didn't work, I figured you would be scratching your head trying to figure out who knew who you are. I'd love to come by and see your mounts and to eat the backstrap, none for me so far. See you soon.

Looks an awful lot like a mulie. Traits wise. Big bodied deer. Good job.

Hey Madmax- looks like all that shed hunting has paid off! In a couple of your shed hunting pics there were obscene numbers of deer in the background!! I remember thinking that you're in for a pretty good season! Congrats and nice work!

My heaviest buck was also a 3-pt. Did you weigh that buck or just guessing at the weight? Either you are a little guy or that deer is well over 200 lb. If you are guessing at the weight don't be shy...a 150 pounder is not a huge deer. There is a huge variation in size among blacktails. I've killed mature bucks all the way from 111 to well over 200 lb. Nice deer anyway.
