Re: Recipe for Salmon spread
Smoked salmon, cream cheese, dried dill, garlic powder, onion powder, Johnny's seafood seasoning, lemon or lime juice.
Not a specific recipe. Just mix those things however the moment presents itself.

Re: Recipe for Salmon spread
Send a PM to No Wishin Just Fishin. He makes a smoked salmon pate' that is simply the best. It is not a low-cal spread, but it is oh so yummy. It includes sauteed onion, butter, bacon bits, cream cheese, and, of course, smoked salmon or kokanee.

 Best advice there.
Set out to make three different bowls. Mix and match as you see fit.

Re: Recipe for Salmon spread
Mix mayonaise and honey barbeque sauce to your taste, I like mine a light orange color then mix it with your smoked salmon like you would tunafish sandwich and eat it how you like (fork, cracker, tortilla, etc.)

Thats pretty close to the one I used back when I was in the Navy, it was so popular that my Master Chief told me that it was my only option when the department had potluck for lunch.
If you don't have any smoked salmon laying around, you can cheat with cooked salmon and liquid smoke. Just be careful with the LS, it's really strong, and you can usually get by with a few drops.

Re: Recipe for Salmon spread
A couple years ago, someone on here posted a good recipe, and I still use it today, with a slight modification.
~1/2 lb smoked salmon (more or less, depending on how much you want )
1 8oz tub onion & chive cream cheese
1 8oz tub regular cream cheese
2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
a pinch of garlic powder
Mix 'er all together and you get smoked salmon spread!

I use this one that was posted a few years back by smily.
INGREDIENTS:
2 square bricks of 1/3 fat Cream cheese
2 TBS sour cream (light sour cream)
2 TBS mayonnaise ( the real stuff)
aprox. 12 ounces smoked salmon
juice from 1 whole lemon
5 or 6 cloves of Garlic
(yes the more the better)
1 to 2 tablespoons minced fresh dill or
(Okay bottle of “Spice Islands” dill will work too) Others brands don’t have good taste.
DIRECTIONS:
In bowl mix Cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise,
Then add Dill the lemon juice, then the Garlic and mix again.
Crumble and add the salmon; Just lightly mix in the salmon not to process it in too much. You want to still see smoked salmon colors before it gets too creamy.
Chill until flavors meld, about 1 hour.
*Dip can be covered and refrigerated
for up to 2 days, It never lasts past a day.

Re: Recipe for Salmon spread
I do a simple one by chopping up some smoked Salmon, blend in enough mayo to get the right texture, add a splash of Worchestershire, a shake or two of lemon pepper, a pinch of dill and a small pinch of chili powder. Mix well and place bowl on top of a larger bowl with ice to keep it cool while your guests gorge themselves.
