Re: Albacore 201....
Count Rotsa Ruck in for Saturday. I think the seats are filled. Keta, Threemuch, I need a ya or nay.
Pilar, is F13 a camping space or moorage? Are you planning to run from Newport??
Rotsa Ruck will be put on her rebuilt trailer Wednesday morning and then shuffled off to the storage lot.
I'll be in Newport Friday night and will sleep on the boat or in the pickup.

Hey Mikey! You LIVE!
It is great to see you surface and post up.
I wish I was in the states to join you but alas I am here in Ireland.
I will return the week of July 20th. First order of buisness is to get Sea Lion ship shape and ready for Hal-bi-Core on August 1 and 2 work permitting.
I hope to see you and the rest of you Salty Dogs out there soon,

Re: Albacore 201....
Greg, F-13 is a camping space at the South Beach campground. We are launching from the Depoe Bay ramp. Much closer to the action and makes a visit to the area off PC and Cascade Head possible. The boat is in a storage in S. Beach near the campground. So we will drive up to Dopey bay at OMG in the morning. My friend Krystalflash is working on a deal for ice. He got 300 qt's worth of coolers filled for free last weekend. We should take a pickup and fill the bed with this ice. Then we can load all the boats leaving from Depoe before we go out.
I don't know about you but the plastic bags of ice at $1 each is getting old.
The best part is the NW outbound travel makes the downwind SE return travel possible. The major wind direction is N to NW this time of year. It sure is good to have that behind you when it blows in the afternoon.
Greg , I know it is a pain to trailer your big boat but you should join us in Depoe. The fleet last Saturday worked just like a wolfpack of U-boats. We spread out over the area and found the fish quickly. You have to see this in action to get the full impact.
It means we don't waste a bunch of time looking for fish.

Re: Albacore 201....
Hey Pilar,
Thanks for the mention about my wind. Geez, I rolled down the window even. How embarassing!  I guess I should lay off the picked eggs. Huh?
Yes, I've cleared my schedule for this weekends debochery. WP called me last night and said there was an open seat for today, but it was just too late in the game. I certainly appreciate the offer though.
Yes sir, if I could get something going before the day before or the day of, that would be fantastic. Anyone?
I'll be here all day until 3:00pm or so.
Slay and sautee,
Ragnar

Blue....it apears from the reports that the warm water is 30-40 miles from the beach. Hope that helps.

Re: Albacore 201....
John,
Your storing the Pilar in the place I told you about right. South Beach RV & Marine. Rotsa Ruck will be there too as of tomorrow morning.
Trailering that big boat is no more trouble than trailering my sled. As long as the trailer doesn't puke axles like before. I can load and unload her just like my 19 footer.
Dopey bay it is. Let there be albacore galore!!!
