Default Specklebellies like football

I was at a high school football game tonight and saw a rare sight. It was late in the fourth quarter of a very close game when all of the sudden a lone speck passes over the field about twenty yards up. The students were making alot of racket and the goose was calling to them. The darn thing circled back, twice, wings set just ten yards above the field. He then swung wide and landed in the baseball field. I walked over and noticed there was a second one in the field with him. Darndest thing I ever saw. Next time I hunt specks I think I'll throw in some kids to play football with when the geese come in.

Was it a single wing or double wing offense being run? (Sorry, couldn't resist!!)

I was gonna ask if it was a "run and shoot" offense, but since the game was after legal shooting hours....

Two nights ago there were flight after flight of geese going over my house east of Sandy. Maybe they were just flying in circles? Do Specks have a high pitched call and fly at night? It wasn't your typical Canadian goose song.

Yes they have a high pitch sound. I have seen flocks get lost in fog or low clouds and actually land on roofs. Kind of like lost reigndeer
