Zihua Sail
Took my daughters and wife to Zihuatanejo for my oldest daughter's graduation. It was hot! We only saw about 10 other gringos for the week and had most restaurants to ourselves. The tequila was smooth, mangoes great and pescado del dia was que bueno. and a good time I was only able to convince my daughters to go fishing one day. We were sweating by 8:00. The girls enjoyed seeing the dolphins, whales and sea turtles....especially the sea turtles that had a bird resting on top of them as they swam along. After four hours of trolling one of the rods went off. The sailfish jumped 5 times and my oldest ended up with a 90 pounder. A nice graduation present. The crew reluctantly released our fish per our request. They like to sell the meat in the local fish market and you could tell releasing the fish was something they attribute to crazy gringos. ( By the way, the day before they has four sailfish on in three hours, we just caught a slow day )
Now, I gotta get my boat put back together and get down to the coast for some real fishing.
