Mark Mc King Salmon Join Date: Jul 2001 Location: Corvallis Posts: 7,413	Late Fri 7/4 Newport Report Just a quick report before crashing & burning...3 of us on Phil's boat "Andiamo" today fished WNW of Yaquina Head in 40 to 45 fathoms...ended up with 4 chinook to 32 lbs & 1 keeper coho. No hot bite, just a slow pick. Small, pesky coho up high; chinook were between 50 & 80 ft. Bait behind flasher, & purple haze hoochie got bit best. Will post more tomorrow.
