Garibaldi Tuna
The charters and privates did well today straight west of Garibaldi. One guy told me he was out 27 miles ... had 3 quadruples and ended up with 31 tuna. The charters were out over night ... it's a TUNA FEST!
I'd post more, but I'm dead tired ... chinook were deep - 100+ feet - in 290 feet ... surface is full of coho.

Re: Garibaldi Tuna
Stop and ask Bait o eggs if got any tuna this week. He said he was bringing some of his plugs and if it looked good he was going to drag a few around.
He's at crab harbor all week.

Re: Garibaldi Tuna
I kind of doubt it, it looks like the wind has come up pretty good. I hope they did though. I am trying tomorrow on Rotsa Ruck with Fishplay.

Re: Garibaldi Tuna
I take it back, Fishplay says it has been pretty nice this morning down in Newport. Popeye is off the dock. No word from Pilar yet.

Re: Garibaldi Tuna
Well, I WAS going to go for it -- No thanks on the wind. Although, it actually may be decent at Tuna Town, in between could be nasty.
There will be days ahead when the forecast is "West wind 10 knots, wind waves 2ft, W swell 4 ft." The porpoises will be playing with the boat, pilot whales will be frolicking, elephant seals will be cruising, OceanBlue will lose another rod, Pilar will be screaming that he saw bill, Corrirod will announce that he is now living on his dory, Fish Assassin will be cruising by us all laughing, GregOtis' lab will use his keen senses to find the tuna, Popeye will be reclining in the captain's chair yelling about a fish on the port side (oops, I won't go there), I'll bring in half a tuna, a shark will get tangled up in a handline, a submarine will surface (okay, maybe that's a once in a lifetime), it will be 75 degrees and I'll be catching rays on the bow. It's all good, it really is!!!
Salmon action for me this weekend, unless the forecast changes.
Good luck everybody -- be safe out there!
