Pete - DeopebayDan started a thread about Marty being out of Depoe Bay today. No luck on the water as far as the long-fins go. He went out roughly 40 miles with no sightings.

Could Marty have run too far? It looks, on SST, like the warm water is in closer.

Hard to say. The images are tough to tell with the cloud cover in the spot we need to see well for temp breaks. It's possible he did though...

Pete, water temp was not the problem. The problem was no sharp temperature breaks. Marty said he would run for 3 miles and it would go from 59.4 to 59.5, like that. No sharp breaks means no upwelling which means no bait which means (guess the rest). Looking at our south coast, off Brookings, now there are some nice breaks!
